I made the body of this pen in a process of repeatedly cutting and permanently bonding segments of wood in a particular order. The wood segments include padauk, black walnut, and redheart. The larger segments are separated by colored veneers and the grip portion of the pen is set off by a small segment of white-tailed deer antler. Six pieces of wood, one ring of antler, and 15 pieces of colored veneer comprise the pen body.
